General info
The thermal design power (TDP) is the maximum amount of power the cooling system needs to dissipate. A lower TDP typically means that it consumes less power.
A higher transistor count generally indicates a newer, more powerful processor.
Small semiconductors provide better performance and reduced power consumption. Chipsets with a higher number of transistors, semiconductor components of electronic devices, offer more computational power. A small form factor allows more transistors to fit on a chip, therefore increasing its performance.
Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) is a high-speed interface standard for connecting components, such as graphics cards and SSDs, to a motherboard. Newer versions can support more bandwidth and deliver better performance.

The number of pixels that can be rendered to the screen every second.
The memory clock speed is one aspect that determines the memory bandwidth.
The number of textured pixels that can be rendered to the screen every second.
Shading units (or stream processors) are small processors within the graphics card that are responsible for processing different aspects of the image.
TMUs take textures and map them to the geometry of a 3D scene. More TMUs will typically mean that texture information is processed faster.
When the GPU is running below its limitations, it can boost to a higher clock speed in order to give increased performance.
The ROPs are responsible for some of the final steps of the rendering process, writing the final pixel data to memory and carrying out other tasks such as anti-aliasing to improve the look of graphics.
Memory
The effective memory clock speed is calculated from the size and data rate of the memory. Higher clock speeds can give increased performance in games and other apps.
Random-access memory (RAM) is a form of volatile memory used to store working data and machine code currently in use. It is a quick-access, temporary virtual storage that can be read and changed in any order, thus enabling fast data processing.
A wider bus width means that it can carry more data per cycle. It is an important factor of memory performance, and therefore the general performance of the graphics card.
Newer versions of GDDR memory offer improvements such as higher transfer rates that give increased performance.
Error-correcting code memory can detect and correct data corruption. It is used when is it essential to avoid corruption, such as scientific computing or when running a server.

NVDIA’s RTX 2070 follows on from their recent release of the 2080 and 2080 Ti from their RTX 2000 series of Turing architecture GPUs. The 2070 has 2304 CUDA cores, a base/boost clock of 1410/1620 MHz, 8GB of GDRR6 memory and a memory bandwidth of 448GB/s. The RTX 2070 also features Turing NVENC which is far more efficient than CPU encoding and alleviates the need for casual streamers to use a dedicated stream PC. Traditionally NVIDIA’s 70 range has offered better value for money than the more powerful 80 GPUs. The Founders Edition 2070 has an MSRP of $599 which makes both new 1080 and used 1080 Ti GPUs decent options. The price premium over the previous generation of GPUs is, for the most part, for NVIDIA’s new ray tracing technology, and unfortunately, the benefit of this is currently unknown as there are no RTX ready games. Performance benchmarks on tangibles place the 2070 6% ahead of the 1080 in terms of effective speed and 17% behind the 1080 Ti. Since AMD’s similarly priced RX Vega 64 has a 13% lower effective speed, there is no real pressure on NVIDIA to compete agressively with thier own previous generation of cards. [Oct '18GPUPro]

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (Desktop) vs NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile vs NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Mobile
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (Desktop)
► remove from comparisonThe Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 for desktop PCs is a graphics card that is based on the Turing architecture (TU117 chip). Compared to the faster RTX 2000 GPUs (e.g. RTX 2060), the 1650 integrates no Raytracing or Tensor cores. The performance should be slightly faster than the old GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Although, the mobile variant of the GTX1650 uses the same name, it is a bit slower due to lower clock rates.
The Turing generation did not only introduce raytracing for the RTX cards, but also optimized the architecture of the cores and caches. According to Nvidia the CUDA cores offer now a concurrent execution of floating point and integer operations for increased performance in compute-heavy workloads of modern games. Furthermore, the caches were reworked (new unified memory architecture with twice the cache compared to Pascal). This leads to 50% more instructions per clock and a 40% more power efficient usage compared to Pascal.
Compared to the bigger Turing chips (like the TU116 of the GTX 1660 Ti and the RTX lineup), the TU117 does not include the new NVENC encoder but an older one similar to the one used in Pascal and Volta.
The power consumption of the 1650 is specified at 75 Watt TGP (Total Graphics Power) by Nvidia. The TU117 chip is manufactured in 12nm FFN at TSMC.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile
► remove from comparisonThe NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 for laptops is the second fastest mobile graphics card for notebooks in early 2019. It is based on the desktop RTX 2070 but with reduced core speeds (-11% Boost, -14% Base). The memory appears to be similar clocked and sized. Therefore, the RTX2070 offers 2,304 shaders and 8 GB GDDR6 memory connected by a 256 bit interface (14 GHz, 448 GB/s).
A more power efficient "Max-Q" version is also available with further reduced clock rates.
In April 2020 Nvidia refreshed the RTX 2070 with new "Super" cards. In addition to the RTX 2070 Super Mobile with 2560 shaders, Nvidia also introduced a slightly higher clocked RTX 2070 for laptops (N18E-G1R-A1, TU106-735-A1 chip) with a 1,305 base and 1,485 MHz boost clock.
Features
NVIDIA manufacturers the TU106 chip on a 12 nm FinFET process and includes features like Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and Real-Time Ray Tracing (RTRT), which should combine to create more realistic lighting effects than older GPUs based on the company's Pascal architecture (if the games supports it). The RTX 2070 is also DisplayPort 1.4 ready, while there is also support for HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP) and H.265 video en/decoding (PlayReady 3.0).
Performance
The mobile RTX 2070 should perform a bit slower than the desktop RTX 2070 and therefore on par the old GTX 1080 for laptops. Therefore, it should be able to run all demanding games in 4k with high details. Raytracing features however may reduce framerates a lot.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Mobile
► remove from comparisonThe NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Mobile is a high end gaming graphics cards for laptops. It is the 2020 refresh of the GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile and may now also use the TU104 chip with more shaders (as the desktop RTX 2070 Super did). The older mobile RTX 2070 uses the TU106 chip with 2,304 shaders and should be slightly slower than the new Super model.
Features
NVIDIA manufacturers the TU106 and TU104 chips on a 12 nm FinFET process and includes features like Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and Real-Time Ray Tracing (RTRT), which should combine to create more realistic lighting effects than older GPUs based on the company's Pascal architecture (if the games supports it). The RTX 2070 Super is also DisplayPort 1.4 ready, while there is also support for HDMI 2.0b, HDR, Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP) and H.265 video en/decoding (PlayReady 3.0).

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER
vs
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
The RTX 2080 might be the high-end flagship of the latest Turing set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most mid-range PC gamers. On the other hand, the RTX 2070 is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 499. The good news is, with the release of the RTX 2070 SUPER, the RTX 2070 's price is getting more discount.
NVIDIA ’s xx70 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Turing graphics card inside the RTX 2070, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. The RTX 2070 is much more expensive than the GTX 1070 as it costs a whopping $ 499. Compare this to the GTX 1070, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, which came originally at a price of $ 399, $ 409. Meanwhile, the AMD closest equivalent card is the RX 5700 XT which costs $ 399.
In our synthetic benchmarks, the RTX 2070 blows past the GTX 1070, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti and, amazingly, even the GTX 1080 as well. Unfortunately, gaming performance was not quite as impressive. Even if the RTX 2070 consistently delivers frame rate increases over the GTX 1070, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, the gain is not much to justify an upgrade.
Whether it is a justifiable upgrade depends on what graphics card you are upgrading from. Users with a GTX 1070, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti will not see a remarkable increase in frame rates after paying more for this RTX 2070. Similarly, those holding onto RX 5700 XT 's RX Vega 56 graphics cards will not have a reason to jump teams yet. For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Metro Exodus, Marvel's Avengers, Borderlands 3, Anthem at 65 fps to 84 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 73 fps.
For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Anthem, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War 5, Need For Speed: Heat, Just Cause 4 at 67 fps to 72 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 70 fps. For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Fallout 76, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Forza Horizon 4, Valorant at 61 fps to 174 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 92 fps.
