Animal Crossing: How to Get Hold of Some of the Rarest Items In New Horizons
2020 has been a crazy year, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons has saved us all from endless boredom. It presents a world of endless possibilities where the players can’t possibly do anything wrong.

New Horizons is probably one of the finest entries in the franchise’s history. Both adults and kids spend countless hours creating unique island designs.
The players can also earn Nook miles by completing objectives. These allow players to design a plethora of interesting items that can again be sold for a hefty price.

Each new update adds something new to the game. While some are easily identifiable for the others, the players sometimes spend countless hours before stumbling upon them.
In the same way, some items are very rare and not every player knows about them. This reiterates that most of us have just scratched the surface, and there is more to what meets the eye.
Watch for the following rare items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Lily of the Valley
You might have come across various plants on your island. These flowers boast vibrant colors and impact the overall appearance of the players’ island. However, one of the rarest flowers in the game is the Lily of the Valley. It only starts growing if your island has a five-star rating.
It’s important to note that the flower doesn’t have much of a monetary value in the game. It sells for a mere 222 bells. Possession of the flower in the game is more of a trophy more than anything else.
The players also unlock the gold watering can upon getting the five-star rating. It is similar to any other watering can, but it has an added ability to breed golden roses. These only grow when they are coupled with black roses.
They, too, don’t have a lot of monetary value but can craft several items that can be sold for a hefty price.
Each season introduces the players to a whole new list of bugs. It is important to note that a few species of bugs also get removed. Three of the rarest bugs in the game are the Horned Hercules, Giraffe Stag, and the Golden Stag. They sell for an astounding 12,000 bells.
They appear at the same time of day between 5 PM to 8 AM in January-February and July-August.
Deep-sea diving in Animal Crossing
New Horizons enables the players to go deep-sea diving and collect some strange things. Here too, the players can find some rare items that can either be sold for a good profit.
The absolute rarest is the Gigas giant clam. It is only available between May and September and requires a bit of patience. However, there is not much the players can do with it apart from just selling it for a whopping 15,000 bells.
One of the most picturesque moments in the game occurs during spring. This is when the cherry blossoms come out in April. They’re only visible for 10 days and are a major turning point in the game.

This is because some items that can be crafted from these, including the pond stone and cherry blossom flooring, sell for almost 800,000 bells in the game.

Unsurprisingly, the players don’t hesitate in tweaking settings to travel back in time to get hold of these items.
Have you come across any rare items and want us to cover them?

Available Variations - Electric Bass is available in the following color variations; Space Silver, Shocking Pink, Chic White, Natural Wood, Sunburst, Cosmo Black, Ash Green, and Deep Ocean, but it does not have any other customizable elements.
|Why just listen to Rock music, when you can create it yourself? Where to buy? - Billiard Table can be purchased from Nook's Cranny store.
Available Variations - Billiard Table's top comes in three different color variations; Blur, Red, and Green.
|Having a Billiard Table of your own will allow you to practice and, as a result, beat all your friends in this fun game. Where to buy? - You will find brand-new Animal Crossing: New Horizons Deluxe Washers in the Nook's Cranny store.
Available Variations - Deluxe Washers come in six color variations; Pink, Yellow, Black, White, Blue, and Red.
The Deluxe Washer is a Ferrari among washing machines; it will get rid of even the most difficult to wash stains without compromising the fabric of your clothes. If you have a large clothes collection, and you want to take care of them so they stay in pristine condition, having one of these is a must. Its price tag seems quite high, but 76 thousand Bells for a high-end household appliance like this is not a lot.
Imperial Dining Table
Where to buy? - Imperial Dining Table can be purchased from Nook's Cranny
Available Variations - Red and Brown
This uniquely-looking round dining table is a part of the Imperial Set, so if the table alone isn't enough, or it doesn't fit your current design, you can furnish your house from scratch with fitting items. While 73000 Bells is a quite steep price for a table, this extraordinary piece of furniture is worth it because of the oriental feel that it brings. Also, unlike most other tables available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it is round which makes it even more unique.
Furniture/ Music Instruments
Where to buy? - Just like the Electric Bass, the Electric Guitar is available from the Nook's Cranny shop.

If playing an Electric Bass isn't your thing, here is a great alternative; an Electric Guitar that will allow you to make your dreams of becoming a rockstar come true (or at least it will allow you to make some very loud music-like noises). Electric Guitar, such as this, will be a great addition to any musical instrument collection. The price of 71000 Bells is a bargain, especially considering that Electric Bass is more expensive.
Where to buy? - In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Laptops are available for purchase only from the Nook's Cranny shop.
Available Variations - Laptops come in seven different colors (Gold, Blue, Black, Silver, Red, Pink, and White) and their screen can be customized to feature a Desktop, Search Engine, Calculations, Web Browsing, Chat Tool, Online Shopping or your own Custom Design.
A laptop is a great compromise between a stationary computer and a tablet or a smartphone. It is not as powerful as a normal PC, but much lighter and easier to move around, on the other hand, it's heavier and much bigger than a smartphone, but much more convenient to work with and work on. If you'd like to have one electronic device that will fulfill all your needs and demands, pick yourself one of these.
Where to buy? - The Ring is available for purchase at the Nook's Cranny store.
Available Variations - It comes in eight different colors (Pink, Black, Brown, Red, Blue, Turquoise, White, and Green).
Investing in one of these is a great way of making one's house look much more luxurious. The Red variant (featured on the picture above) is especially eye-catching, so we recommend it. This is one of these Animal Crossing: New Horizons Items that look elegant, but you just can't figure out how much they are actually worth.
Furniture/ Music Instruments
Where to buy? - Synthesizers, just like most other Music Instruments available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, can be purchased from Nook's Cranny.
Available Variations - Synthesizer comes in six different colors; Brown, Silver, Black, Red, Blue, and Yellow.
If you are looking for a modern version of the classic keyboard instruments, here is one. A Synthesizer is much more practical, a lot cheaper, and can produce a much wider range of sounds than a Grand Pino, but it looks like something taken straight from a village party. Still, it is a great place to start your adventure with keyboard instruments (it is small enough to fit in a closet if you decide that it's not for you after all...).
Where to buy? - Exercise enthusiasts can buy themselves a brand-new Treadmill from Nook's Cranny shop.
Available Variations - Treadmill can be customized with four different colors; White, Black, Blue, and Red.
If you like running, but you don't like to breathe your island's fresh air, a Treadmill will be ideal for you. It will be a great addition to your house gym and allow you to stay in good shape. You can motivate yourself by putting it in front of a TV; that way you'll be able to exercise and watch your favorite movies/tv-shows at the same time. Putting one of these in a visible spot is also a great way of communicating your friends that you try to stay healthy and in good condition (even if you don't actually ever use it).
Arcade Game (various)
Where to buy? - All three Arcade Games (Combat, Fighting, and Mahjong) can be purchased from the Nook's Cranny store.
Available Variations - Arcade Games cannot be customized and come in colors that depend on their type (Fighting Game - Red, Combat Game - Blue, and Mahjong Game - Green).
A classic game machine that will bring a retro look to your house. It comes in three different versions; Fighting, Combat, and Mahjong. Picking up all three will give you move variety, but will also cost you a total of 192 thousand Bells, which means that if you treat Arcade Games as a whole, they are actually among the Most Expensive Items in Animal Crossing. Still, they are worth it because of the entertainment possibilities that they provide.
Where to buy? - Just like other luxury housewares, the Claw-Foot Tub is available for purchase in the Nook's Cranny shop.
Available Variations - The Claw-Foot Tub is available in six colors; White, Black, Blue, Yellow, Pink, and Red.
Less flashy but much more stylish and cheaper than the Whirlpool Bath, the Claw-Foot Tub is a great choice for those who like to take relaxing baths after a hard day of work on the island. It is a good, more comfortable, and cheaper alternative to a Shower Booth (and it actually looks more expensive). Overall, a solid middle ground between the Whirlpool Bath and the Shower, and it costs less than either to boot.
Where to buy? - Double-Door Refrigerator can be bought from Nook's Cranny.
Available Variations - There are four Double-Door Refrigerator colors to choose from; Red, Silver, White, and Black.
A must-have in any modern kitchen. This high capacity Double-Door Refrigerator will keep your food fresh and tasty for a long time (even if you have a lot of food, it will fit inside rather easily). Moreover, it comes with an ice dispenser, so you will be able to make home-made iced drinks for you and your friends! A 60 thousand Bells price for a household appliance as universal and as useful as this is a bargain.
The Most Expensive Clothing In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Where to buy? - The Royal Crown, the Most Expensive Item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, can be purchased only from Able Sisters Clothing Shop.
Available Variations - The Royal Crown comes with Gold and Red color scheme and cannot be customized.
Here it is, the single most expensive item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. To put its price into perspective... the 30th most expensive piece of clothing in the game costs 4300 Bells which is 279 times less than the Royal Crown. If you want to emphasize your wealth and your royal status, nothing will do it better than this splendid piece of headwear; just prepare for a lengthy grind. To finish the look, you will also need the rest of the Regal Look clothing set.
Where to buy? - Crown, the second-Most Expensive Item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, can be bought from Clothing Store ran by the Able Sisters.
Available Variations - Crown has a single available color variation - Golden and cannot be customized.
The second most expensive item in the game is also a crown (not a big surprise here). This one is less flashy but somewhat more elegant. It would be our preferred option if not for one thing... if you go for this one, your friends and other players, in general, will be like "didn't you have enough Bells to buy the "real" one?" (this is the internet, after all). This means that you don't really have a choice; if you want to have a crown, go for the Royal one (or get both, then everyone will believe you that you chose this one because you prefer it, and not because it was cheaper).
Where to buy? - Gold-Armor Shoes can only be purchased from Kicks, an NPC who makes weekly visits to your Deserted Island.
Available Variations - Gold-Armor Shoes come in the color gold and cannot be customized in any way.
A part of the Golden Armor Set and the only piece of it that can be purchased from the store. These boots are the flashiest available in the game, so if you want your look to get people's attention, they will be a perfect choice. Despite being 7.5 times cheaper than the Royal Crown, the Gold-Armor Shoes sit comfortably as the third most expensive item in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Where to buy? - Snowperson Head can be bought or crafted on the DIY Workbench from 1 Large Snowflake and 5 Snowflakes.
Available Variations - Showperson Head come only in a showy-white color and can't be customized.
Snowperson Head has a listed price of 28000 bells, which makes it the 4th most expensive piece of clothing in New Horizons, however, it can't be actually bought and has to be crafted on the DIY Workbench instead (at least to our current knowledge). This is definitely one of the more unique and eye-catching hats in the game, so if you like to look different - don't hesitate to pick it up. It will also allow you to cosplay as Olaf from Disney's Frozen.
Where to buy? - Cake Dress is a part of the Wedding Season event and can be acquired only during the said event (the event lasts from 1st of June to 30th of June).
Available Variations - The Cake Dress comes in just one color variation and does not have any available customizations.
As a part of the Wedding Season, this is a limited-time offer so don't hesitate for too long if you want to add it to your collection (otherwise you will have to wait the whole year for the event to return). Despite being available in June, the Cake Dress looks the best in the winter season (if you are living in the southern hemisphere, you will get it just in time for the winter).
Egg Party Hat
Where to buy? - Egg Party Hat is available during the Bunny Day event and can be crafted on the DIY Workbench from two of each egg (Earth, Leaf, Sky, Stone, Water, and Wood).
Available Variations - Egg Party Hat cannot be customized and has just one available color variation.
Another one of the items with known price tags that can't be actually bought at the shop. To get this one, you will have to participate in the Bunny Day Event and get enough eggs to craft it on your DIY Workbench. If you would like to dress up appropriately for the Easter, this hat is a must-have.
Where to buy? - In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Knight's Helmet can be crafted after acquiring a DIY Recipe for it, but it could be purchased from Labelle in the New Leaf.
Available Variations - Knight's Helmet only has a single color variation and you cannot customize it in any way.
Wearing this hat will definitely emphasize your chivalry. It will also be a great choice, together with the rest of the Knight's Armor, for all costume parties. Sadly, it can't be just purchased in New Horizons, as it could be in New Leaf; it has to be crafted out of iron nuggets instead. Despite that, it is still one of the most expensive items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, with a price tag of 15 thousand Bells.
Where to buy? - Wedding Tuxedo is a part of the Wedding Season event and can be acquired only during the said event (the event lasts from 1st of June to 30th of June).
Available Variations - Wedding Tuxedo comes only in the color white and does not have any customizable elements.
As a part of the Wedding Season, this is a limited-time offer so don't hesitate for too long if you want to add it to your collection (otherwise you will have to wait the whole year for the event to return). If you are planning a wedding, you have to get this as there is nothing more appropriate for a wedding than a stylish white tuxedo. The price of 12000 Bells is quite steep for a piece of clothing that you will, most likely, wear just once, however.
Where to buy? - Junihitoe Kimono is available for purchase at the Clothing/Tailor's Store run by the Able Sisters.
Available Variations - Junihitoe Kimono comes with its unique style and its color cannot be changed or customized in any way.
This formal Japanese Kimono is made out of the highest quality silk. The name "Junihitoe" (Jap. 十二単) means "twelve layers" which relates to the style of formal court dress worn by noblewomen at the Imperial Japanese Court in the Heian period (794AD to 1185AD). Junihitoe Kimono is comprised of several different layers of kimono-style garments, which makes it quite heavy and uncomfortable to wear, but if you want a real Imperial Japanese look, you have no other choice. It is the most pricy of all Kimonos available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but it is also the most formal and elegant one.
Where to buy? - This royal piece of clothes can be purchased from the tailor's shop ran by the Able Sisters.
Available Variations - Royal Shirt comes in the royal color scheme (white, red, and gold) and does not have any customization options available.
A part of the Regal Look clothing set the most expensive Top in the game. The Royal Shirt matches the Royal Crown perfectly and will give you the real noble look. With the price tag of mere 6720 Bells, it is also nowhere near as expensive as either of the Crowns, so purchasing it will not hurt your finances too much, however, it will still magnify the impression you make with your clothing as it is almost as classy and stylish as the crowns themselves.
Where to buy? - Samurai Shirt can be bought from the Able Sisters' Clothes Shop.
Available Variations - It comes in five different color variations; White, Golden Yellow, Black, Blue, and Red, but has no other customization options.
A Samurai Shirt is stylized after the Japanese Armor that first appeared in the 4th century, but evolved and changed over the years; Just like the Junihitoe Kimono, the most familiar-looking Samurai Armors originate from the Heian period (794AD to 1185AD). This particular Samurai Shirt resembles the traditional "Dou" (Cuirass or Breastplate) which is one of the main components of Japanese Armor worn by the Samurai class of feudal Japan. If you like Japanese culture, you should get yourself one of these and complete the look with the rest of the available Samurai Set items.
Where to buy? - This dress comes from a DIY Recipe, can be created at a Workbench, and is worth 6400 Bells.
Available Variations - Pead Dress comes in just one color variation and cannot be customized in any way.
This very light dress matches the furniture from the fruit set perfectly, so if you like that style of housewares, you should definitely buy it. Despite the known price tag of 6400 Bells, it can't be bought from a shop currently and has to be crafted on the DIY Workbench instead. We recommend the Pear Dress as a part of your springtime clothing; it will match the spring aura perfectly.
Where to buy? - In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Elder Mask is a present you can receive by mail from Guliver, however, it could be purchased from Nookling Stores in New leaf.
Available Variations - Elder Mask comes as it is; it cannot be customized and its color cannot be changed.
Elder Mask is another Animal Crossing: New Horizons item stylized after Japanese culture (it is based on the traditional Noh mask (Jap. 能面). Masks like these represent the social ranking, gender, and age of a character played by an actor during classic Japanese Dance-Dramas. The tradition of wearing such masks during spectacles originates from the 14th century. In the latest iteration of the game, the mask can't be purchased as it could be in Animal Crossing: New Leaf; Instead, it can be given to you by Guliver as a present (you can receive it via mail).
Fashionable Royal Dress
Where to buy? - This beautiful Fashionable Royal Dress can be ordered from the Tailor's Store run by the Able Sisters.
Available Variations - Fashionable Royal Dress comes in five different color variations; Purple, Pink, Blue, Green, and Yellow.
This extravagant dress looks especially nice in a tandem with a Crown (the cheaper one; and yes, we remember what we have written about it) or a Tiara. In it, your character will look like a true noblewoman! The price tag of 6 thousand bells is rather low compared to some other stuff featured in this article, but still, Fashionable Royal Dress is one of the most expensive items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. We recommend the Yellow one if you want to wear the Crown with it, and Blue one will pair well with a Tiara.
Where to buy? - Renaissance Dress is available for purchase at the Able Sisters' Tailor's Store.
Available Variations - You will be able to choose from six different color presets when buying a Renaissance Dress (Red, Green, Purple, Pink, Blue, and Navy Blue).
This fashionable dress takes inspiration from the Renaissance period of European history (15th and 16th centuries) and is kept in a truly classic style. By wearing it, you will show that you are pro Modernity and that the "Age of Reason" and the advance associated with it is close to your heart (or that you just like to look classically good). Renaissance Dress will cost you 6000 Bells at Able Sisters Store, which is not that much considering how good it looks.
Where to buy? - You can find a brand-new Samurai Helmet available for purchase at the Able Sisters' Tailor's Store.
Available Variations - Samurai Helmet comes in five color variations (Golden Yellow, Red, Black, White, and Blue), but it does not have any other customization options.
Just like the Samurai Shirt featured above, Samurai Helmet is stylized after the Japanese Armor that originates from the Heian period (794AD to 1185AD). With this helmet and the Shirt, your Samurai outfit will be almost complete (while the shirt is the only choice, there is an alternative to the Helmet - a Samurai Wig that can be given to you as a present by Guliver). As for the Samurai Helmet colors, black, and golden yellow ones look the best.
Where to buy? - Unlike most other Animal Crossing: New Horizons Items classified as Clothing, Apple Umbrella is available for purchase from Nook's Cranny (and not from the Able Sisters). It can also be crafted at the DIY Workbench after obtaining the appropriate recipe.
Available Variations - Apple Umbrella comes in a single color variation and cannot be customized.
This fruit-inspired umbrella will save you from being soaked by the rain. Its design matches that of the Fruit Furniture Set, which makes it an ideal addition to that. As far as the umbrellas go, this one and the other "fruit variant" are the most expensive by far. If you are ready to spend 5600 Bells for rain protection, ask about the Apple Umbrella at the Nook's Cranny. If you want to emphasize that you are pro-ecological and you like nature as a whole, being this umbrella (or the Cherry one) is a great choice.
Where to buy? - Cherry Umbrella can be crafted on the DIY Workbench, but some sources say that it can also be purchased for Bells.
Available Variations - Cherry Umbrella comes in a single color variation and cannot be customized.
Apple Umbrella's twin sister that also matches the Fruit Furniture Set perfectly (especially the Cherry Speakers). It is as expensive to buy and to make as the Apple Umbrella, so the choice between them is totally up to one's preference (we like the Cherry one more, because of its color scheme). Both of the "fruit umbrellas" also match the Pear Dress rather well.
Where to buy? - This fashionable royal-style dress is available for purchase from the Tailor's Store ran by the Able Sisters.
Available Variations - Princess Dress comes in the following color variations; Gray, Blue, Orange, Mint, Green, Pink, Yellow, and Purple.
Every girl dreams of being a princess... With this beautiful dress, these dreams can finally come true. For a mere 5500 Bells, you will be able to give yourself a look of a young noblewoman. We recommend that you pair it with a Tiara to complete the look (Princesses don't wear crowns, however, you can break the etiquette if you like and wear one instead; it's just a fun game, after all). As far as the available color variations for Princess Dress go, the Blue one matches the Tiara perfectly.
Where to buy? - In New Leaf, Coin Headpiece is available for purchase from GracieGrace (in Winter). In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, however, it is only available as a present you can receive via mail from Gulliver.
Available Variations - Coin Headpiece comes as it is, you cannot modify it in any way.
This uniquely-looking headwear is inspired by hair adornments worn by ancient Egyptian noblewomen (just looking at the Coin Headpiece makes Cleopatra come to mind). Because of the peculiar look of this hat, finding a matching outfit might be rather tricky (if you have a full costume idea, please let us know in the comments!). 5400 Bells price for something that unique is a bargain, at least in our book; don't hesitate to add it to your collection, especially if you like to look a lot different from anyone else.
Where to buy? - In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Geisha Wig is available for purchase from Labelle; In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it is only available as a present from Gulliver (he will give it to you via mail).
Available Variations - The hair color of the Geisha Wig cannot be changed, however, adornments come in seven different colors (Black, Purple, Blue, Red, Pink, Green, and Golden Yellow).
This traditional wig is heavily inspired by the Japanese Culture, however, unlike the Samurai Armor and Kimonos, wigs like this, and the profession of a Geisha as a whole, are much younger; they first appeared around the year 1750 (18th century saw the emergence of the Geisha as a profession in Japan). Nonetheless, a Geisha Wig will match any of the Kinonos available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons perfectly. Sadly, unlike in New Leaf, in NH Geisha Wig is only available as a present from Guliver which makes it much harder to obtain.
Where to buy? - Fancy Kimono can be bought from the Able Sisters' Tailor's Shop.
Available Variations - It comes in eight different color variations, so there is quite a lot to choose from; Vermilion, Pink, Purple, Indigo Blue, Aqua, Parrot Green, Green, and Pale Orange.
Despite its name, the Fancy Kimono is actually simpler than the above-mentioned Junihitoe kimono (which is traditionally composed of 12 different fabric layers). Still, this is a cheaper (it costs 1800 Bells less) and lighter alternative that will work especially well during less formal meetings and parties. If you are a fan of Japanese culture, this is a must-have (together with a Kimono Stand and all other available Kimonos). To complete the look, you can pair it with a Geisha Wig.
Where to buy? - This Animal Crossing: New Horizons is most likely associated with the Ice Series known from the New Leaf.
Available Variations - Icy Dress cannot be customized and only comes in a single color.
This peculiar dress, despite its very light appearance, is designed to be worn during winter (which means that you will get quite chilly outside while wearing it). It looks like a part of the Ice Series known from the Animal Crossing's previous iteration - New Leaf, but it might also be heavily inspired by Disney's Frozen (which is most likely the case, judging by the apparent similarities to the dress worn by one of the characters). Wearing the Icy Dress will make you look and feel like an Ice Queen, so a Tiara is an appropriate addition to it (neither of the crowns doesn't match the dress coloristically).
Where to buy? - This aristocratic dress can be ordered from the Tailor's Shop run by the Able Sisters.
Available Variations - Noble Dress comes in eight color variations (Green, Ruby Red, Blue, White, Red, Yellow, Purple, and Black), but cannot be customized in any other way than changing the color.
Another aristocratic wear featured on this list. The Noble Dress is definitely one of the most extravagant clothes available in the game. Unlike the "Regal Look" series, however, it looks to be inspired by the Victorian era of Great Britain (the period of Queen Victoria's reign; from 1837 to 1901) which makes it somewhat more modern in appearance (its front looks especially similar to dresses worn back then). Because of this "Victorian" look, the Noble Dress will be a great base for a Steampunk cosplay, if that's your thing. Buying one of these will cost you 5200 Bells.
Where to buy? - This Hi-Tech Astronaut gear can be purchased from the Able Sisters shop.
Available Variations - Space Suit does not have any color variations and cannot be customized.
A real treat for all fans of stars, space exploration, and science fiction. The Space Suit is the crown jewel of the Space Furniture Set, however, it comes without Boots and Helmet, which must be purchased separately. Luckily, Animal Crossing: New Horizons does not emulate the fact that moving in such a costume is very tiering and quite difficult, especially under normal gravitational conditions. Space Suit, especially the complete one, is a great choice for any costume party.
Where to buy? - Just like other Kimonos featured on this list, Flashy Kimono can be bought from the Able Sisters' Tailor's Shop.
Available Variations - Flashy Kimono comes in the following color variations; White, Blue, Green, Red, Gold, and Fuchsia.
Third Kimono on our list, and the most modern-looking one. Unlike the previous two, the Flashy Kimono is a loose variation on the traditional Japanese Kimono Theme, which makes it ideal for the informal costume parties and day-to-day wearing. We recommend the Gold color variation, as it is the most flashy-looking one, which is the most appropriate for a piece of clothing named "Flashy Kimono". Also, if you are looking for rather cheap, but eye-catching, wear stylized after the Japanese culture, this is a great choice.
Hakama With Crest
Where to buy? - Hakama With Crest is available for purchase at the Able Sisters' shop.
Available Variations - Hakama With Crest only comes in Black+Grey color variation and cannot be customized.
Hakama is a type of Japanese clothing worn over a Kimono. Traditionally, Hakamas are ankle-long and tied at the waist. Formal Hakama types are usually made of black and white, or navy blue and black striped silk and can be worn with any type of Kimono except Yukata (light wear, generally worn for sleeping, relaxing, or at festivals). Hakama With Crest, available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, definitely matches the formal type, which makes it inappropriate for wearing on a day-to-day basis.
Where to buy? - Noble Coat is available from the Tailor's Store run by the Able Sisters.
Available Variations - It comes in eight different color variations (Red, Yellow, Green, Ruby Red, Blue, White, Purple, and Black).
This Noble Coat, just like the Noble Dress, seems to be inspired by the clothing worn by the Victorian Nobility. If you want to look stylish, but also somewhat old-fashioned, you definitely should get yourself one of those. The Black color variation is the most formal-looking, while the Blue variant seems to be the most balanced one (so we recommend the Blue variation, as it is the most universal and appropriate for both formal and informal parties).
Where to buy? - Bridal Veil is a part of the Wedding Season event and can be acquired only during the said event (the event lasts from 1st of June to 30th of June).
Available Variations - Bridal Veil cannot be customized and comes in just one color variation - white.
As a part of the Wedding Season, this is a limited-time offer so don't hesitate for too long if you want to add it to your collection (otherwise you will have to wait the whole year for the event to return). A Bridal Veil is a must-have addition to any Wedding Dress, so if you are planning a wedding, you must add it to your clothing collection. It also looks great paired with other light dresses as it symbolizes innocence and purity. As far as Hats available in New Horizons go, a Bridal Veil is one of the more expensive ones, but nowhere near as pricy as the Royal Crown.
Where to buy? - This Hi-Tech Astronaut gear can be purchased from the Able Sisters shop.
Available Variations - Space Boots don't have any customizable elements and come only in one color variation.
Space Boots are a must-have addition to Space Suit (an astronaut without appropriate footwear would look rather peculiar, wouldn't he?). If you are a fan of space exploration, you will love this pair of boots; you might even want to wear them on a day-to-day basis, despite the fact that they are the second most expensive shoes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (which is not saying much, because they are over 37 times cheaper than the most expensive Gold-Armor Shoes).

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Most Valuable Items
If you're looking to sell items to other players using Nookazon, you should be stocking up on the cutting board, Ironwood dresser, crescent-moon chair and fish bait.
The other valuable item is the Nook Miles Ticket, which is a whole gateway into the game's slightly unsettling black market of villager trading.
Similar site Nook.Market ranks the Cute bed highly, as well as the pinball machine, floor light, Cute DIY table, espresso maker, Imperial Partition, double sofa, soft-serve lamp and Cute sofa.
If any of those are high on your own personal wishlist, you might need to outbid other players for them!
10 Rarest Items In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Animal Crossing has always been a game franchise about exploring, farming, and collecting. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is no different, with countless rare fish, bugs, fossils, and items to catch and collect. There are a number of different furniture sets available in the game, as well as items that spawn in the Nook's Cranny and Able Sisters' shops.
RELATED: Longest Nintendo Games (According To HowLongToBeat)
But what items are the hardest to find? The world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons follows the capitalist tenet of supply and demand, so the rarest items are also the most expensive. With some items available only via Amiibo cards and others available only on holidays, players may be surprised by what has the highest selling points.
10 Desktop Computer
The Desktop Computer is a rare item that spawns for sale in the Nook's Cranny shop. It can appear in black, silver, white, or pink. The screen can be customized to display a view of the desktop, a search engine, calculations, web browsing, or programming. It costs 100,000 bells and appears to be running the Windows operating system. Unfortunately, the only thing players can do with the computer is turn its monitor on and off.
9 Computer Server
The Server is a computer server that spawns for sale in the Nook's Cranny shop. It costs 100,000 bells. With it, players can pretend they're mining cryptocurrency or launching a more stable server for Apex Legends.
RELATED: Palia May Be More Like Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Than New Horizons
Some players have purchased servers to create an urban city feel for their islands outdoors. Others have turned their basements into server-filled rooms. This item is not customizable and only comes in one color variation.
8 Grand Piano
The Grand Piano is a rare item that costs 260,000 bells at Nook's Cranny. Its color cannot be changed, but it does spawn in white, black, cherry, and walnut color variations. This piano is one of the most interactive items on this list, as players can play the piano and it makes realistic sounds. It takes up a fair amount of space, so be sure to make room and put things in storage if a Grand Piano appears in the shop.
7 Elaborate Kimono Stand
The Elaborate Kimono stand is a rare item that costs 220,000 bells. It comes in 5 variations, each with a different color scheme and design to match the theme of your house. From left to right, the Cranes variation depicts two cranes flying over a red and orange sunset sky. The Balls variation shows a festive pink Sakura design. This pink screen would be a perfect gift for Marina, the pink octopus.
The Wisteria variation is primarily purple and shows a winding path with lots of flowers. The Tree Peonies variation has plenty of peonies on a bright teal background and would be a great gift for Lolly, the blue cat villager. Last but not least, the Hawk variation shows a hawk flying over a wooded landscape and a river.
6 Gold Rose Items
The Gold Rose Wreath is a rare item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons because it must be crafted and requires 10 gold roses and its DIY recipe. The recipe can be obtained from any villager but it's quite rare to get. Once crafted and displayed, the Gold Rose Wreath has the lucky trait, so its presence adds 777 points to your Happy Home Academy score when placed inside. This wreath can be displayed inside the home or outside on a player's front door. If a player wants to sell their Gold Rose Wreath, it can fetch 20,000 bells from the Nook's Cranny shop.
RELATED: Nintendo Characters Most Fans Have Forgotten
The Gold Rose Crown is another rare item that requires gold roses and the DIY recipe. The recipe can appear inside a message in a bottle or it can be a gift from any villager. The Gold Rose Crown is essentially a Gold Rose Wreath but worn on the head as a flower crown. Perfect for any young god or goddess, this crown requires 6 gold roses and retails for 12,000 bells at the Nook's Cranny shop should a player choose to sell their crown.
5 Zodiac Items
The Zodiac items are very rare because they must be crafted and can only be made during the time of year that matches the Zodiac sign. For example, the Aries Rocking Chair DIY recipe can only be acquired from March 21 until April 19. And among its other ingredients, it requires the Aries fragment, which can only wash up on beaches during the Aries season.
RELATED: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player Turns Island into Resident Evil Village
So the entire Zodiac set is quite time-sensitive. It requires players to wish upon stars at night when Celeste is in town and the skies are mostly clear. Besides the Aries Rocking Chair, the other rare Zodiac items are the Taurus Bathtub, the Gemini Closet, the Cancer Table, the Leo Sculpture, the Virgo Harp, the Libra Scale, the Scorpio Lamp, the Sagittarius Arrow, the Capricorn Ornament, the Aquarius Urn and the Pisces Lamp. Because these items require gold nuggets and special star fragments, crafted Zodiac furniture pieces have a high retail price at Nook's Cranny.
4 Space Items
The Space items must be crafted and can only be obtained via Celeste. The set consists of the following pieces: The Space Shuttle, Crewed Spaceship, Satellite, Flying Saucer, Lunar Lander, Rocket, Lunar Rover, Asteroid, Moon, and the Astronaut Suit. All of these items require Star Fragments and lots of them, so if you want to craft any Space set items, it's time to start stargazing! A number of these items require iron nuggets as well, so be sure to farm those off rocks with a shovel once a day.
Out of all the Space set items, the Crewed Spaceship is the most sought-after. It requires 10 star fragments and 20 iron nuggets and sells for 20,000 bells at Nook's Cranny. To beat Elon Musk in the race to Mars, the Crewed Spaceship is the best bet.
3 Wedding Pipe Organ
The Wedding Pipe Organ is only available during the Wedding Season event, which is June 1st to June 30th. It comes in 3 different color variations: White, dark brown, and natural. It costs 40 Heart Crystals and can be purchased from Cyrus, the teal alpaca. It resells for 25,000 bells each at the Nook's Cranny shop.
2 Gold Armor Set
The Gold Armor clothing set is very rare. All 3 of the items in this set require a DIY recipe that can be obtained from an island resident with the "Smug" personality type, like Julian. The recipe can also spawn in the once-daily message in a bottle that washes up on island shores. The Gold Helmet requires the recipe and 5 gold nuggets. The Gold Armor bodysuit requires the recipe and 8 gold nuggets.
Arguably the rarest shoes in the game, the Gold Armor shoes require the DIY recipe and 4 gold nuggets. While these shoes really do just look like overpriced yellow rain boots, they are indeed special. All of the items in this set have a high resale value at Nook's Cranny because they are made of gold.
1 Royal Crown
The rarest and most expensive item in the game is the Royal Crown. Purchasable from the Able Sisters shop, the Royal Crown costs 1,200,000 bells. Not to be confused with the smaller Crown which costs a million bells, the Royal Crown is the ultimate bourgeois flex in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons world. If you want to complete your royal look, the Royal Shirt can be purchased for 6,720 bells. But don't forget to wear pants — the Noble Pants come in a number of different color variations and cost 4,300 bells.

Acnh items rare
If you’re lucky enough to get one of the three arcade game cabinets (Fighting Game, Mahjong, and Shooting Game) via the in-game store, you’ll only have to pay about 64,000 bells for them. However, the price of these games on the open market currently sits at about 200,000 bells, and that number has only been climbing.
These aren’t the most expensive items in New Horizons, but their popularity and the relative scarcity of getting the full collection easily makes them some of the most valuable decorative pieces.
Big Festive Tree
Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ real-time system means that certain items are only available at certain hours of the day and during specific times of the year. It also means that the in-game season is currently affected by which hemisphere you live in.
That’s a big part of the reason why the Big Festive Tree and its cosmetic variants are so popular right now. With those in the northern hemisphere having to wait months to see winter items (unless they take advantage of time skipping cheats), the game’s various festive trees are currently fetching about 2,000,000 bells on the open market.
Granted, it’s a little odd to have what is essentially a Christmas tree in your home during the summer, but we’re not here to judge.
Cherry Blossom Items
Much as it is in real life, cherry blossom season doesn’t last long in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In fact, you only have from April 1 to April 10 to not only acquire all the random cherry blossom recipe drops but the cherry blossoms needed to craft those items.

What Are Rare Villagers?
No Such Thing As Rare Villagers
There is no such thing as a "rare" villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, the probability of encountering them in the mystery island tour and/or them visiting your campsite differs.Check Out Mystery Island Tour!
How Are Villagers On Mystery Islands Determined?
Even though there is no such thing as a truly "rare" villager, the probability of encountering each villager on a mystery island is different.
We've run a test to figure out the pattern of how new villagers on mystery islands are determined by using 162 Nook Miles Tickets.
What we found out is that all species groups, disregarding the difference in number of villagers belonging to each species, appear at around the same probability.
Conclusion: Which Villagers Are Rare?
In conclusion, the more villagers in the same species group, the lower chance you have of encountering a specific villager in that group. In other words, the game picks one species group first randomly, then it picks one villager in that species group randomly again.
Raymond Is 8 Times Harder To Get Than Marina
Meeting one specific villager in the "Cat" species (ex. Raymond) is harder than meeting one specific villager in the "Octopus" species (ex. Marina).

Animal Crossing: 15 Of The Most Expensive Items In The Series
By Allison Stalberg
Bells are the name of the game in Animal Crossing, so what are some of the most expensive items that you can buy in the game?
With Animal Crossing: New Horizons out, fans are quickly upgrading their homes, decorating their islands, and collecting Bells.
It is never too early to think ahead though. The series is all about trade, money, and paying off loans. While you may be asking yourself what you can sell for the most Bells now, later you might be asking what you can buy for the most Bells (besides the house of course).
RELATED: Animal Crossing: 15 Best Characters, Ranked
The series definitely has its expenses. Some pieces of furniture cost as much as upgrading your whole house! Here are the ten most expensive items you can buy in the series.
Updated July 12th, 2020 by Meg Pelliccio: Animal Crossing: New Horizons recently received its Summer Update, which saw a plethora of new features added to the game, including the much anticipated deep-sea diving and new sea creatures.
The game has been out long enough for many fans to have reached the end game, which in this franchise means completing all of the island goals and perfecting your island paradise. This involves players terraforming their island to truly make it their own, creating new custom designs, and of course, collecting some of the most coveted villagers and items to show off. However, some of these items are pretty pricey, check them out.
15 Fancy Violin - 140,000
There were many new instrument items added in New Horizons and most, if not all, are rather pricey. The Fancy Violin is no exception and can be purchased for a whopping 140,000 bells.
This item is not customizable but can be found in three different colorways, black, white, and natural wood. It can be placed on the ground or tabletop, and players are able to interact with it and play a few notes.
14 Screen - 140,000 Bells
New Horizons introduced a stunning range of Zen-style items and one of them is the Screen furnishing. It's not customizable but it comes in several different designs: Bamboo, Plum, Pine, Tiger, and Dragon. You'll have to be super lucky to get the design you want, alternatively, you could ask friends if they have it for order in their catalog.
This is classed as a "luxury item" in the official strategy guide and is indeed very beautiful. It can be bought from an upgraded Nook's Cranny for the princely sum of 140,000 bells.
13 Kitchen Island - 170,000 Bells
When it comes to New Horizons, many players might prefer the Ironwood kitchen items, but the Kitchen Island item is definitely a strong contender for a must-have furnishing for your Animal Crossing house. Unfortunately, it doesn't come cheap and will set you back a total of 170,000 bells.
RELATED: Animal Crossing: New Horizons: 15 Villagers That Fit In On A Gothic-Themed Island
It's not customizable, but it does come in seven different colors to ensure it suits the rest of the decor and style of your home: White, Blue, Red, Black, Silver, Dark Brown, and Light Brown.
12 Elaborate Kimono Stand - 220,000 Bells
The Elaborate Kimono Stand is an item new to Animal Crossing: New Horizons and it is absolutely gorgeous. Whether it's beautiful enough to warrant its 220,000 price tag is up to you.
This item is not customizable, but it does come in five different designs, as shown above, featuring cranes, wisteria, a hawk, balls, or peonies. Nook's Cranny has to be upgraded for this item to appear for sale, and like other items, is completely random as to whether or when it will be sold.
11 Gracie Bed - 250,000 Bells
Gracie is the fashionista giraffe who has appeared in all the Animal Crossinggames in some shape or form. She has made us wash her fancy car, sold expensive clothes, and is the seller of some of the most expensive furniture pieces in the series.
Her most expensive set is the one named after her, the Gracie Set. The set appears in both Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Animal Crossing: City Folk. The bed itself costs 250,000 Bells!
10 Grand Piano - 260,000 Bells
The Grand Piano in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a rather elegant instrument that players can interact with and play some musical notes. It is not customizable, but it is available in four different colors: Black, White, Walnut, and Cherry.
RELATED: Animal Crossing: 10 Items That Look Cheap (But Are Surprisingly Expensive)
The horse villager Colton is fancy enough to have this item in his home as default, meaning that if he moves out and you are lucky, you might find it in the recycling bin. Otherwise, you're looking at forking out 260,000 bells to purchase one.
9 Gracie Chest - 300,000 Bells
The Gracie bed is far from the most expensive item in the entire set. The chest is 50,000 Bells more! Regrettably, the Gracie items, along with Gracie herself, have yet to make an appearance in New Horizons.
As you can see from the picture, the set is all blue with green, blue, and yellow layered spots as a pattern. The pattern actually matches what Gracie wears. That is part of why the set is named after her.
8 Card Wall Clock - 300,000 Bells
The Card set of furniture is another one that runs on the expensive side. If you theme your house around it, your room will look like something out of Alice in Wonderland or like a Vegas-themed Escape Room.
The Card set first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The most expensive piece of the Card furniture set is the wall clock for 300,000 Bells.
7 Gracie Wagon - 300,000 Bells
The Gracie wagon is not quite a wagon as you may first picture. It is a small rolling folding table with a teacup. It is a piece of furniture that implies you are rich and have others bring you your tea. Very Gracie indeed.
RELATED: Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 10 Items You Didn’t Know You Could Customize
It sells for the same amount as the Gracie chest. If you want to buy the whole set, this quickly adds up to a fortune. Already with the bed, chest, and wagon, you will be spending 850,000 Bells! That is already nearing 1,000,000! If this set is to make a return in New Horizons, you better start saving.
6 Princess Curio - 300,000 Bells
The Princess set really lives up to its name. It gives you the feeling that you walked into a fairytale with its gentle blue hues and white floral patterns. It comes with a vanity, birdcage, dresser, closet, chair, canopy bed, clock, table, wallpaper, flooring, and lamp.
However, its most expensive item is the curio. It basically a glass cabinet with all sorts of delicate and dainty objects inside. Most of the other pieces range in the 200,000s. While it's still not the most expensive, the set can definitely add up to a lot of in-game work.
5 Gracie Shelf - 350,000 Bells
For 50,000 Bells more than the wagon, bed, and chest, there is the Gracie shelf. Like the other pieces, it is dark wood with a cloth accent of the Gracie pattern. It may be a little more pricey just because it comes with a cute alarm clock and a lot of teacups on the shelves.
This piece, as well as one other one, are the most expensive parts of the Gracie set. So adding this to the bed, wagon, and chest already brings the total up to above 1 million Bells!
4 Gorgeous Wall Clock - 350,000 Bells
Another one of the most expensive furniture sets out there is the Gorgeous set. It is all black, gold, and red. It looks like the sort of room where you wear a robe all day in and drink scotch. It even has a bar piece!
RELATED: Animal Crossing: The 5 Weirdest In-Game Items (& 5 That Are Awesome), Ranked
Like the Card set though, the most expensive piece in the set is the clock. It is interesting to find that clocks are some of the most expensive items, as they are not very large. It would make more sense for the beds to be expensive because those are far more elaborate and big. But who knows? As of yet, this item has not appeared in New Horizons.
3 Gracie Wardrobe - 350,000 Bells
The last piece of Gracie furniture that is the most expensive is the wardrobe. It ties with the shelf as the most pricey piece of them all. The wardrobe is wooden with the Gracie pattern on the doorknobs. So it is a pretty simple piece, despite its extravagant price.
Since the Gracie set made up a lot of this list, it should be known that a lot of its pieces also didn't make the list. The furniture from the set that are 250,000 Bells or below includes the chair, bench, low table, lamp, desk, wallpaper, flooring, and clock. The cheapest of the set is the low table at 68,000 Bells. By the way, these are the New Leafpieces! In City Folk, all the sets were cheaper.
2 Crown - 1,000,000 Bells
The two most expensive items in the game are actually clothing items. In particular, they are hats. Crowns to be more specific. For 1 million Bells, you can get an adorable small crown. It resembles the sort of crown Princess Peach from the Mario games would wear.
