Cops are looking for the deranged, jealous culprit who stabbed a 27-year-old man who allegedly looked at his girlfriend at a Lower East Side park over the weekend.

Police said the incident happened at about 8:10 p.m. on July 11 at Luther Gluick Playground at the corner of Delancey and Columbia Streets.

The incident was reported to the 7th Precinct. EMS brought the victim to Bellevue Hospital for treatment of a small laceration.

One NYC homeless man stabbed another to death in Lower East Side skate park: cops

By John Annese

Jun 01, 2021 at 7:50 PM

A homeless man is accused of stabbing another homeless man to death in a skate park a few blocks from their Lower East Side shelter, cops and prosecutors said Tuesday.

Rivera told cops he and Singleton walked to the park together, and Singleton threatened him, saying “I will kill you” as he scraped a straight-edge razor back and forth on a metal handrail, according to a criminal complaint.

He told cops he used a Smith & Wesson knife to stab Singleton in the stomach, and kept stabbing as the victim tried to run away, the complaint alleges.

Rivera then knifed Singleton in the back, and when Singleton tried to escape the park, Rivera chased him, grabbed him, and “may have stabbed him again,” according the criminal complaint.

The two men lived in the same shelter, a converted motel on Chrystie St., authorities said.

A 27yr old man was pronounced dead at New York Downtown Hospital after he was found unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds inside a skate park underneath the Manhattan Bridge on Monroe Street and Pike Street in Manhattan on Friday May 28, 2021.

Video showed Singleton, Rivera and a third man walk to the park together just after 7:15 a.m., shortly before the stabbing.

A few minutes later, the third man walked up an alley away from the park, followed by Rivera, who was wiping his hands on his hooded sweatshirt, according to a criminal complaint.

It wasn’t clear if the third man was involved in the attack.

A school bus driver found the victim sprawled out on the skate park pavement at about 7:30 a.m., next to a makeshift knife, police said.

Singleton was stabbed twice in his back, and once in his stomach, lower chest and left side, prosecutors said.

Rivera was arraigned Saturday and ordered held without bail.
