The Aquarius Woman: January 20 – February 18
The Aquarius woman is smart, independent, somewhat rebellious and a true original. Part of the reason her man has fallen in love with her is the fact that she’s not a clinging vine. Quite the contrary, she matches wits with her man, has a wide circle of her own friends, and prefers to stand on her own two feet. Many Aquarius women are leaders in their field. She’s analytical and her ability to communicate is highly developed. If you want to get on her good side, use reason and logic rather than emotion.
Your challenge will be to keep things from becoming boring or routine, which would spell disaster for your relationship. She is not an easy little bird to catch, for once you feel you’ve got her in your hands (or arms) she’s flitted away again. She will need her space, and with so many other guys buzzing around her (she tells you they’re just friends) you will need to steady your nerves.
Things To Do, Gifts To Buy
Her best colors are bright fuchsia, cobalt blue or charcoal gray. Aquarius women tend to wear streamlined, futuristic clothing and some Aquarius women don’t mind if they shock a bit. Her taste in jewelry is unique and individual, even New Age, so you could do well by getting her a special crystal. There is a uniqueness about the Aquarius woman, from her toes to her hair, she is always a bit different, on the cutting edge of what’s new and hot.
Another gift that would be a hit is a beeper with voice mail capability, all the better for you to leave her intimate love messages. If you take her out to eat, better ask ahead of she likes a certain kind of food, for many Aquarians are vegetarians. She does not need to be wined and dined in a five-star restaurant–she is just as happy in a noisy, lively bistro that serves good food and is a place where she might bump into friends. (To get an Aquarius alone is a feat unto itself.)
Never inhibited in bed, Aquarius brings a sense of fun and playfulness to her lovemaking. She may suggest a video to watch beforehand, since Aquarius are so electronically-oriented, or if you know her very well, she might consent to making your private video together, with her ground rules. Since she loves being in the center of the action, tell her that you want make love to her in a semi-public place. Remember the movie set in Vietnam, called The Lover? The lovers meet regularly in an apartment right off the street where city noises and people walking around outside the door are quite audible, and the very closeness of the street has an erotic effect on lovers. Be inspired by this thought, perhaps at the next party you two attend. Choose a room where she can hear other guests but where the two of you can temporarily disappear for some privacy, maybe a closet or pantry. Don’t worry about her reaction to suggesting a quickie–if she knows you well, this is one lady who will be delighted!
Aquarius Horoscope for October 2021
Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
You are going to love October. You’ve been through difficult times, but this month is an oasis of calm with a number of opportunities that will keep coming up for you. Much of the energy in your chart is centered on your ninth house, an area that covers international relationships and travel among other possibilities. You may be doing a lot of work overseas, and your work may or may not require you to travel. Instead, you may be spending time on Zoom.
You might be involved in the import-export business of ideas, goods, or services, or an immigration or related matter (passport, visa, green card) may be on your desk, and if so, things will start moving in the right direction for you. You could be working on a media project (publishing, broadcasting, digital work) or possibly with academic people—professors or researchers—who are part of esteemed universities. You may be working with distinguished doctors, lawyers, executive producers, publishers, ambassadors, or high-level business leaders. It is alternatively possible you decided to go back to the classroom as an undergraduate or graduate student. You may be applying for a grant to do specialized research abroad in your subject.
No matter how this trend is affecting you, it’s a big trend this month. Even if this area of life resonates with you, it’s about to grow bigger very shortly, just after the new moon of October 6 in Libra at 13 degrees. Your horizons are opening up now, and you are viewing possibilities in far bigger terms than you did in the past.
The new moon this month is a favorite of mine because Saturn, your ancient ruler before Uranus was discovered, will be so positively placed and supportive of all you do for the long-term future. This month, you can give a firm foundation to your projects and relationships with the reasonable expectation that your efforts will lead to success. Take action just after the new moon appears, October 6.

Every year Susan Miller, all-star astrologer behind Astrology Zone, announces which zodiac sign will be celebrating its emerald year in full, fabulous fashion. As a reminder, a sign's emerald year is when its basically the zodiac wheel's favorite for 12 months—the cosmic homecoming queen, if you will. Sagittarius was the big winner in 2019, and Capricorn—despite what ultimately turned out to be a shudder-worthy year—was 2020. Now, the time has come for Capricorn to pass the crown to the next sign in the line of emerald year succession: 2021 is the Aquarius emerald year. Congrats, water-bearers!
So what exactly does the Aquarius emerald year entail? Well, really it comes down to this sign catching about a gazillion lucky breaks. The emerald year is, specifically, when Jupiter, the planet of abundance, expansion, and good fortune, smiles upon your sign. It means opportunities will be bountiful across the board, but it can also manifest into a few particular ways in each instance: "Aquarius is going to travel very far—Jupiter always has you traveling," says Miller. "Also…you [can] meet your life’s true north—your one true love. It’s the best aspect you could possibly have for meeting your one true love."
Miller adds that the Aquarius emerald year could also mark a fortuitous time to expand your family with a child, if that’s on the agenda. Or you could find yourself absolutely thriving professionally, which would make tons of sense for those who feel more settled into a newer, technologically oriented working climate. Ultimately, Aquarius is the most progressive-thinking member of the zodiac, the one who is most ready to live in the future.
"It’ll be all about them finding their true vocation and the way they can help people, because helping people is indigenous to [Aquarius]. It’s a humanitarian sign." —Susan Miller, astrologer
Incidentally, the Aquarius emerald year also syncs up with a pivotal moment in the Age of Aquarius: Due to many planets transiting in the air sign, we can expect 2021 to see society growing in an Aquarian vision. This means we’ll see an emphasis on using technology as a means to connect, a focus on promoting societal equity while recognizing personal individuality, and a desire to really just help others. And Aquarius is bound to thrive in such an era. "It’ll be all about them finding their true vocation and the way they can help people, because helping people is indigenous to [Aquarius]," says Miller. "It’s a humanitarian sign."
Ultimately, 2021 will be a beautiful time for Aquarians to do whatever they want, to channel their energy and to really go for the things they’re passionate about. To help these innovators maximize that energy, they might want to buy astrology guides like The Birthdate Book ($90), Use Your Planets Wisely ($20), Astrology for Real Relationships ($18), or Miller's own 2021 The Year Ahead Astrological Wall Calendar ($27), because knowing your cosmic self will only amplify the rewards.
But, one major caveat may be in the way of their good-news-filled emerald year, though: There might be a short waiting period before those blessings arrive.
In the first part of the year, Saturn and Jupiter are buddy-buddy (see: the Great Conjunction). Saturn is kind of, well, the opposite of Jupiter: He’s a taskmaster planet who likes to make things difficult in order for us to grow, so that planetary influence is going to be dominant in the winter, neutralizing Jupiter’s impact. As a result, Aquarians might not feel their emerald year energy to a strong degree in January and February.
So if you’re not feeling a cosmic glow-up at first, sit tight! Miller says by mid-March, Jupiter will be far enough away from Saturn’s clutches to feel that good emerald-year energy...and the world will be yours for the taking.

AQUARIUS (January 20-February 18)
You are a highly intellectual sign, most often associated with technological advances and social innovation. Ruled by Uranus, the planet associated with striking and unexpected change, rebellion, surprise, individualism, and at times eccentricity, you are happiest when you can freely follow the path you’ve chosen without interference from others. You don’t like feeling hemmed in, by a romantic relationship, a career, or a boss, for these circumstances don’t allow you to be quintessentially “you.”
Many Aquarians have strong feelings about humanitarian issues, and they are also sensitive to social injustice. At some point in your life you are likely to find at least one community, humanitarian, or charity cause to act upon, whether the scale be large or small. Equipped with what the ancient astrologers called a “third eye” or ability to see the future clearly and what must be done now to prepare, you don’t wait to act—you swing into action whether or not others see your point.
It is often the role of your sign to reveal important social trends before the rest of us see them emerging or even consider them to be a soon-to-be growing problem. Many Aquarians are interested in politics too, and will either run for office or support a candidate.
To be clear, Aquarius works with large groups and becomes a leader to create a movement, such as to save the coral reef, protect the rain forest, or help women faced with domestic violence, among a myriad of other possible social urgencies that need to be addressed. In contrast, the following sign, Pisces, prefers to help others on a personal one-on-one basis, such as to stop by the apartment of the elderly lady upstairs to help her open jars before running off to work.
As an Aquarius, you are usually so far ahead of the curve that you see solutions clearly that others fail to see, even with deep thinking. It may take time for the people you are trying to convince to catch up to you, as your ideas may at first be quite foreign—even odd—to their ears. As you come up with many workable, practical answers to questions that have eluded others, you may sometimes make others feel inadequate. As your star rises, you become a target of criticism by those who were embarrassed by not having seen the problem quickly enough and who have failed to come up with the same solutions that are so obvious to you.
The greater the adulation you receive, the more jealousy you may face. Your desire to help others is always strong, so let the knowledge that you are doing great work to help society be your true reward. Money and prestige do not attract you as a prime motivator as you are not materialistic, and you do not allow money to lead your decisions. You have your own yardstick for success, the reason others cannot control you—the true individualist that you are, you don’t really care if others like you or not! To you, life is not a popularity contest—it’s about creating needed change and innovation in society.
In your style of dress, you are as individual as you appear in other phases of life. You may wear cutting-edge fabrics developed by NASA, unusually creative designs or, conversely, the same jeans and black turtleneck day after day. You focus on the project at hand, not the clothes, but if you do work in fashion, you are interested in all that is new, fresh, and original. You are particularly excited to explore new fabrics. All things new and untried are quintessentially “you.”
You are very friendly and have hundreds of contacts, but you allow very few friends into your private circle. This surprises some, but Aquarius belongs to the world, and often you can be so consumed with helping a part of society that has been overlooked and downtrodden that you can temporarily forget about your own family members, most likely your children, who need more tending than you might assume. Your family has become used to feeling a little neglected—usually circumstances will pull you back, and all is well again. Yours is the sign of genius—often misunderstood at first, but always proven right in time. You have a very special destiny, dear Aquarius.

Aquarius: Connect, Mix, Exchange Ideas
People around you rarely sense when you’re anxious, so deftly do you hide your feelings. You feel the same stress everyone else does, you are just are better at covering it up! Highly objective in your approach to life, you succeed at not becoming overly-emotional about things. Sometimes, however, you could be kidding yourself that whatever is going on is “no big deal” to you. Aquarius is a sign who must get in touch with her feelings–or else feel the fall-out much later.
Aquarius is an air sign, so meeting up with a few friends for a couple of beers could really do wonders for your outlook, especially if you’ve had your nose to the grindstone. Aquarius is a democratic, unpretentious sign, so an informal, friendly pub or new micro-brewery would be just your style. (If you don’t like beer, ordering anything else would be fine–it’s being out with the gang that cheers you, not necessarily the beer.)
A fixed sign, you tend to bore though your projects with the intensity of a laser beam, so scheduling time to lighten up would be good for you. You could also give a get-together and invite everyone to a come-as-you-are party (Aquarius is very spontaneous–they hate formality). Air signs need to relate to others and hear a variety of opinions. They use their friends as sounding boards for their abundant ideas. In the end, however, Aquarius follows no one but themselves. Highly independent, you make up your own mind when it’s all said and done. Your only pitfall is being so intent on mixing and socializing that you could loose yourself in partying and forget that you need to take a stand. Your fixed nature means making changes is hard for you, even though your sign rules the future.
When you are most stressed out, one-to-one close relationships, such as with your spouse or lover, may get claustrophobic. Try to reassure your sweetie that you still love them but you need time alone or with your friends. Aquarius has a habit of acting aloof, completely tuning out and not taking time to explain what is going on, which only creates confusion in a relationship. Your lover or mate may think that THEY are the problem, when that could not be further from the truth. Aquarius is a sign which is highly charismatic and they easily become the leader of their group. But being directed out to the world, they often forget about those closest to them. (One Aquarius is president of his labor union and travels frequently in an effort to improve worldwide working conditions for his members–which he does accomplish–but never sees his kids.) Keep the balance of your home life and you will feel better overall.
Your ruler, Uranus, is the planet of change and creativity. Your key to success is to allow random ideas into your frame of reference. Therefore, see a psychic or have your horoscope read. Astrology and the occult sciences are ruled by Aquarius, and the most talented astrologers have the sign prominent somewhere in their charts. (Your Astrologer has Aquarius on the midheaven–the tip top, destiny point of her chart–in case you are wondering.) Even if you don’t agree with your him, during the process of being read, your reader will touch on various parts of your life, giving you a bird’s eye view, perhaps causing you to consider new options, perhaps propelling you in new productive directions. Creative people are among the most likely to consider astrology or psychic readings to get themselves out of old patterns and ruts.
Do pro-bono work. Aquarians usually hold strong views and they like to do good. Getting out of yourself is always improves objectivity. Aquarians love politics too, and they debate issues intelligently and rationally. If so inclined, volunteer for your favorite political candidate. If one particular issue in your life troubles you, consider joining a special interest support group in order to hash things out. (Aquarius rules groups, so it is nearly always a helpful thing for you to do).
Finally, you love new technology, so why not indulge a little? Head down to your electronics store, even if you’re broke. (You can still dream.) Check out the latest stereo systems, try out newest camcorders, watch the high-definition televisions. Or pull out that computer catalog and order that software or CD ROM you’ve been craving. Surf the net, check out one of the new virtual reality chat rooms. Make an online pal. Look at the listings in Wired and find a computer trade show to attend. Lose yourself at the planetarium or join a cyber/computer group where you can meet professionals or enthusiasts on your level. What’s life without a little electricity, Aquarius?
Aquarius Horoscope for September 2021
Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
As an Aquarian, you have your own yardstick for success—that is your key to confidence. You don’t particularly care what other people think, but rather it is your assessment of what you are doing that counts. You are acutely aware of current events and the feelings of others in the world, the reason Aquarius is called the sign of the brotherhood of man and the sign most likely to form groups to combat suffering of those in the community or the world at large who have been marginalized and overlooked.
A typical Aquarian is not overly concerned about money because you feel that if you concentrate and work hard and smart, always in the spirit of innovation and creativity, the money will flow to you naturally. You are right, and it has always been that way. That’s why this month is a bit of an anomaly—you will be fairly obsessed with making money, saving money, your credit rating, and how you approach spending.
The new moon on September 6 will kick off this trend. It will appear in Virgo, 15 degrees, your eighth house of other people’s money. This new moon is outstandingly favorable, and the tightest, closest aspect will come from Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, suggesting you may get money from family that you don’t see coming. This would be true even if you have never received money from your parent or other relatives before. The fact that Uranus is your ruler only strengthens this aspect to a powerful level. Looking at your chart, it could be that you are saving up money in order to buy a house or condo, and your windfall from family might be to help you toward achieving that end.
You might see income from other sources, but with Uranus based in your fourth house, it seems to be closely tied to either family or real estate at the core. If you are selling property, you will also do well—your timing could not be better. Make sure the buyer is pre-approved from the bank, and set the closing date either for the first half of September or near October 31, your best date. If you are a real estate broker, your commission this month (coming just after the new moon September 6) could easily turn out to be hefty.

The Aquarius Man: January 20 – February 18
The most striking quality in the Aquarius man is fierce independence and creativity. He may also have a scientific bent. Aquarians never care about what has been done in the past because they are totally focused on the future. Your Aquarius lover may also be concerned with humanitarian issues and feel moved to do something about a environmental imbalance or social injustice. Natural and charismatic leaders, most of our presidents have been Aquarians (President Ronald Reagan is one). They usually have many friends, although only few can get into their inner circle.
Friendship is so important to him that you may feel his pals are more important to him than you are. This isn’t the case, but can be hard to cope with at times. Loving an Aquarius is often frustrating because they often act aloof and hard to catch. But as the French say, the one who suffers greatest loves the most. You’ll need to position yourself inside his circle, and not be on the outside looking in.
How To Handle Them
In love and marriage, the Aquarius male will need to retain his sense of individuality and freedom. The wise woman in love with an Aquarius will not hem him in. Inside the Aquarius there is often a struggle between wanting to live alone but still craving love and nurturing (a side kept well hidden). This duality could drive you crazy at times, but it is best to ignore it. When they become angry, they will act distant rather than rant and rave, so try to draw him out, and get him used to sharing his innermost thoughts. When there’s a disagreement, reason with him intellectually rather than emotionally; this guy is analytical.
Things to do, gifts to buy
Nothing makes an Aquarius happier than talking about electronics or the internet. They are ruled by Uranus, the planet of the future. He will spend his entire day on the computer, and his only fears are frying his CPU or a power outage. Tell him your VCR needs setting, that your computer fonts are screwed up, or that you haven’t configured your new e-mail software yet. Be a damsel in electronic distress. Over fiberoptic cables and phone modems you can find true love.
Be sure to send him frequent e-mail to show him you are thinking about him. Meet at one of the new chat rooms, like The Palace or V-Chat, especially if you know one another well, and assume various avatars and speak to one another in a predetermined code language. Attend computer user meetings together, catch the newest 3D flick (complete with 3D glasses) or play a virtual reality game. Meet at a cyber cafe for coffee and surfing www.suck.com a deux. Is all this getting a little too wired for you? Aquarius also likes a good off-line party, so find out where one is happening and bring him along, or throw your own bash.
Don’t only rely on e-mail to reach your Aquarius, but also leave steamy love notes on his office answering machine (if it’s private), or call him on his car phone early in the day and make a “date” for one another that evening. Say something memorable and get him all worked up. But remember that for an Aquarius to fall deeply in love, they first have to be friends (this sign rules friendship). Don’t rush him, or think you aren’t making “progress” fast enough.
He likes you wearing something current, short and sexy in a man-made fiber, so greet him tonight wearing nothing but Saran Wrap. For going out, you might choose something in shiny stretch vinyl. Sexually, Aquarius is lots of fun because he is so spontaneous and experimental. He might visit a sexual aid shop and come home with a bag of little toys for you both to enjoy. A sense of playfulness is essential with Aquarius and you’ll have to lighten up a bit to stay popular with him.
